Home / Patios & decks
Paver, stone and wood deck cleaning across the Northwest Suburbs. Cleaned at the right pressure for the surface, not blasted.
Most patios don't need replacing. They need the last five years taken off them.
Pavers and flagstone collect the same things concrete does, plus moss and weeds working their way up through the joints. Once the joints go green the whole patio reads as old, even when the stone underneath is fine.
Pressure has to be matched to the surface here. Too much and you strip the color off pavers or leave furry, splintered wood on a deck. We set up differently for pavers, natural stone and wood, and we test on a hidden section before we start on the part you look at.
Joints get cleared of weeds and moss as we go. If the polymeric sand has washed out over the years we can re-sand afterward, which locks the pavers back together and slows down how fast the weeds return.
Wood decks get washed, not stripped. The goal is the grey surface layer gone and the grain intact, ready to seal if you're planning to.
